We have started to use Reading Eggs to help my oldest son learn to read.  It is an absolutely amazing program from what we have seen so far.  My son is excited to progress through the levels to learn his phonic skills and sight words.  I can also log into the parent dashboard and see how he is progressing through the program.

There is a wide variety of games for each lesson and they also vary between lessons.  My son is always excited to progress into the next level to see what he will learn next.

What I love most about Reading Eggs is that my son can have fun while learning his phonic sounds and sight words.  Since we do not use the iPad for many other subjects, it is a neat way to incorporate a little bit technology into our lesson plans.

I am co-ordinating other activities and crafts around the levels in Reading Eggs to supplement the phonic skills and sight words that we are learning through the lessons. Within Reading Eggs there are also some great homeschool worksheets and colour activity pages that you, as the parent, can print and work through with the child.

For the first two lessons, we also made a letter craft to go along with the corresponding letter.

The first lesson discusses letter M, so we made a moose using the letter M.

The second lesson is all about the letter S, so we made a snowman! This craft was inspired by Crafty Morning.

Each of these letter crafts is put into our alphabet binder so we will have a craft for each letter of the alphabet by the time we complete all the levels.

We have briefly used Mathseeds as well and are equally impressed.  I can’t wait until we progress through Mathseeds some more.

We all make choices every day based on our opinions, interests, and based on what we have seen, heard and experienced. We must remember that when marketing our own farm products. There are lots of cattle operations producing cattle and beef for customers to choose from. You need to develop a relationship and a niche for your own brand/operation. Building this will then form relationships with customers that trust you, know what to expect from you and in turn want to support you.
