I am definitely a fan of romantic movies and I am sure many of you are as well! Recently I was provided the opportunity to review Princess Cut by Watchman Pictures. It is a great family romance movie that discusses the struggles of young relationships and how family can help youth get through these difficult times.

Princess Cut The Movie, Romanic Movies
This is a Christian romance movie and even though my family has a more secular view, we absolutely enjoyed it! It refers to a lot of great morals that my family raised me with. The story is also about a farm family and some of the struggles that can be faced by them. Needless to say, I could relate personally to a lot of the story.

Summary of the Main Themes

Grace, the main character of the movie, is faced with the challenge of being let down in a relationship as many young adults are faced with. She is a country girl with a city friend, which also causes tension as they have a difference in views. Grace is torn between following the “crowd” or staying true to who she is.

This part of the movie hit home for me as I struggled through high school being a country girl in a “big” city school. The values and morals that I was raised with did not match what my friends from school were doing. This has led to one of the main reasons that I decided to homeschool.

The movie also focuses on a strong family relationship of a farm family and the relationship between siblings. This strong bond helps Grace make sense of her failed relationships and in the end helps her to find love. Even when the farm was struggling, the family worked together to come up with a solution and then celebrated their success together. I thoroughly enjoyed how farm family life is tied into the story.

A lot of romantic movies nowadays are more graphic than I would necessarily want my children to watch. Princess Cut is not like that at all and it is completely appropriate for all ages.

A Keeper for the Future

I am going to keep this movie to show to my boys when they get older as it can teach them a lot about family values, relationships and respect. It helps to make sense of the tough issues that youth face relating to relationships and shows how your family is always there to support and guide you.

If you are looking to add to your list of great romantic movies for your family movie night, Princess Cut is definitely worth the watch! Make sure to pop some popcorn, grab a blanket and cuddle on the couch with your family and enjoy!

Building this will then form relationships with customers that trust you, know what to expect from you and in turn want to support you.
